About the FKB Website
Here are some answers to common questions about the Feeling Kinda Blue website and hotline. If there is something you would like to know about this service please give us a call @ 866-728-7983 and a trained crisis worker will be able to assist you.
Addresses and phone numbers are collected for safety purposes only. They are not shared with other members on the site and will not be sold or given to any third party companies.
FKB staff members monitor the site 24/7, but do not approve members at all times due to the availability of our team supervisors.
There are certain times where we may not be able to approve you immediately. But, do not worry; a staff member will get to your registration and you will be notified by email when your registration is approved.
If at any point you need to talk to someone or are in crisis while your registration is pending, feel free to reach out to the FKB hotline @ 866-728-7983 at any time
If your request was denied by a FKB staff member, it likely means the information you provided is false or you may have forgotten something. Make sure to include all your information including apartment number or room number.
If your request has been denied, we encourage you to sign up again.
Other reasons users may be denied are:
- The user is outside of the United States
- The user registered using an inappropriate username that is offensive to others or violates our terms of use.
- The user has a history of harassing other members or violating the sites terms of use.
FKB staff monitors the website, but does not generally talk with other members through the site. To protect your privacy and reduce response time, FKB staff encourages users to call the FKB confidential hotline if they are in crisis or need someone to talk to.
The 24/7 hour hotline number to reach a trained FKB staff member is 866-728-7983
Yes, anyone can call and the hotline is available 24/7 regardless of what your situation is.
The hotline is available to anyone who calls even those who do not wish to be members on the FKB website.
A trained crisis worker from our FKB staff will ask if you are having any thoughts of suicide and assess your immediate safety. These questions are asked on every call regardless of the reason why the caller is calling in. This is done by asking a few questions around suicide and the caller’s situation to get an idea of how they may be able to help.
The crisis workers do not read from a script and encourage callers to share only what they feel comfortable with during the call.
All of the crisis workers on the FKB hotline have extensive training on mental health and crisis intervention. Crisis workers will try to work with you and problem solve ways to help you in the moment or provide supportive resources. Crisis workers are here to listen and want to support you regardless of what you may be struggling with.
All calls are confidential and free.
