FKB staff answer: My grandfather Eugene. He was amazingly kind and caring and someone I could count on always. I always wanted to be just like him and make him proud. When I think of him, I strive to be a better person and that has helped pull me through a lot of good and bad times.

I have to go with the 20 members of the 1980 US Olympic hockey team on this one (and their coach, Herb Brooks). Even though their victory over the Soviet Union has been called a “miracle,” it was really just a matter of a dynamite coach enabling a bunch of college kids to something extremely improbable–through hard work and dedication. What can I do that seems nearly impossible right now, but can be done through as much persistence as that team had? It’s a question we can all ask ourselves!
Thanks for sharing, Matty! I love that question; it’s very thought provoking. I find that story very inspiring and uplifting so again thank you for sharing it and your takeaway from it!
