Topic Post: What does self-care look like for you?

FKB staff answer. For me it can be many things, having variety helps me. It can be simple as going for a walk, or a run, or just getting out of my house really helps me. Also going to the gym while listening to my new fav podcast or playlist and practicing yoga and meditation all have really good immediate and longer-term effects. I almost always use sleep meditation at night no matter how I feel because it relaxes me, and sleep is so vital for me to feel well.

I want to journal more but that one is hard for me. Oddly enough poetry writing is one I like to do which I guess is my form of journaling because it’s getting my feelings out.

Self-care can be massages and trips but if doesn’t have to cost a lot or anything at all. What do you all like to do to care for yourselves? I have found that Groupon has some good deals if self-care for you is a night out to eat or even a fun adventure.

    I enjoy doing a “brain dump” right before bed because it allows me to recognize all the random thoughts bouncing around in my head so I can drift off to sleep more easily.
